SKU 3000SET24A

Le Plume Permanent Markers are high-quality permanent markers. These markers are good for drawing manga, comics, cartoons, gestures, landscapes, sketching, and coloring in designs. The markers also work for clear and rubber stamps. These versatile permanent markers are great for artists and crafters alike. The markers are available in 144 colors so it easy to find the perfect shade. 141 are alcohol based and permanent while the other 3 are opaque and pigmented. All markers have a soft brush tip.

New Updated barrel: We will gradually update the barrel of our 3000 alcohol markers this year to a new black barrel. Along with the change in color, we have also added a colored end cap that will help identify the marker color when cap is removed. Since this will be a gradual change, some of the open stock and sets may consist of both the black and grey barrel markers until the changeover is complete.

Not at all what I expected. Hard to use. Color washed out. Definitely overpriced

Pretty good selection

I like the color selection in this set. They give you a pretty good range of pastels of any hues to choose from, and some of them make for pretty good fair skin tones. My biggest issue with the set is with the selection of purples. Included is a saturated purples that certainly can't be considered pastel (BV736, BV738). I own a set of six purple Le Plume markers and one of the colors (BV733) appears in this set. Why they didn't decide to include the other two lighter purples that appear in that set (V742, V744) here is beyond me.
There's also a non-pastel green, orange, and brown in this set (G636, O835, OY848 respectively), so I feel those three slots could have gone to other lighter colors in the Uchida color library, if applicable. If the issue is that those colors were added after this set's inception, then I think an update is an idea I would fully support.
As for the markers themselves, the ink quality is nice and none of the markers show signs of not having enough ink in them. The caps don't exactly match the ink's color, but that isn't a problem if you just go by paper swatches like I do. My one nitpick would have to be one of my blues came with a noticeable shorter nib than the others, but it works just fine so I'm not too concerned about it.

This may sound like I actually hate these markers, but I don't. I've purchased several Le Plume markers in the past and wouldn't mind buying more.
